Tabatha Coffey looked stunning at this year’s 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards, which honors the media for their outstanding representations of the LGBT community. Having won fan favorite on the first season of Bravo’s Shear Genius, and seen success with her own show, Tabatha Takes Over, if there is someone who knows fashion and style it is Coffey.
Keeping with her usual monochromatic look, Coffey wore a black cowl neck crepe floor-length dress with a knucklebox clutch both by Alexander McQueen. The clutch she says, isn’t very practical “but it doubles as jewelry which is fabulous” Coffey likes to keep it simple, preferring an all black wardrobe for its simplistically sleek look. However, when it comes to shoes she suggests style over comfort, “wear really sexy but incredibly impractical shoes.”
To accentuate her look, Coffey is a big fan of using fake eyelashes. “I think lashes are just glamorous,” Coffey says. “I love them.” Due to her fair complexion, Coffey says her natural eyelashes are often indistinguishable. She employs the fake lashes to give her everyday look a little bit more character and sophistication.
Coffey’s number one tip from the summer stems from the stylist in her as she reminds us to take care of our hair this summer, “It does damage your hair, the sun, and it really does pull all the color out whether natural or you go and get your hair colored”. Coffey suggests packing a leave in conditioner when heading to the beach this summer and applying to your hair a few times a day to prevent sun damage.
