Good food and good people mingled seamlessly at the GLAAD Hancock Park: Top Chef Invasion this past Sunday. The event, hosted by Happily Divorced star Fran Drescher, featured a cook-off with former Top Chef contestants, tasting stations from various high end Los Angeles restaurants, entertainment from DJ Dominic Pacifico, and a food and wine themed silent auction.
The cook-off portion of the event was hosted by Longmire star Lou Diamond Phillips, and included Bravo’s Top Chef Texas contestant Chris Cray and Top Chef All-Stars contestant Jamie Lauren. Their food was critiqued by celebrity judges Frenchie Davis, Perez Hilton, and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump.
The event was a star-studded affair, drawing celebrities from all spectrums of Hollywood, including actor Nick Zano, actress Kim Coles, reality stars Madison Hildebrand and Martyn Lawrence Bullard and activists Mike Manning and Shane Bitney Crone.
All the funds raised at the event go to GLAAD’s efforts to boost the voices of the LGBT community by holding the media accountable for the representation of the community and encouraging people to share their stories.
