Vocal powerhouse and reality television darling Frenchie Davis brought glamour to the GLAAD Hancock Park: Top Chef Invasion event in Los Angeles, where she served as a celebrity judge, alongside blogger Perez Hilton and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump.
Davis first burst onto our TV screens during her run on the second season of Fox’s American Idol. She followed that up with a four year stint on Broadway, acting and singing in such shows as RENT and Dreamgirls, and became a Grammy-nominated artist for her work in Ain’t Misbehavin. More recently, Davis tried her luck again on a viewer voting show, and made it onto Team Christina on NBC’s The Voice. After completion of the show, Davis decided to launch her own record label, Frenchie Davis Music Group.
Davis was happy to make an appearance at the event, which raised funds for GLAAD‘s ongoing efforts to increase awareness and understanding of the LGBT community, because she believes in the importance of their work. “I am a huge supporter of GLAAD. I gladly support any organization that works towards equality for everyone.”
We admire Davis’ ability to support equality and look great while doing it! She attended the event in a gorgeous purple wrap dress from IGIGI. “I’ve been wearing their clothes for years now,” she said. According to Davis, the designer makes fabulous dresses for “girls with curves.” Other than wearing great curve-accentuating dresses, the star’s best beauty tip is to use tinted moisturizer and bronzer, which will make you look “flawless!”
